Placer County Supervisor Jack Duran will host a community forum Monday, Aug. 15 to receive public input on noise issues at the All American Speedway in Roseville.
The forum is scheduled to be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Garden Room at the Placer County Fairgrounds, 800 All American City Boulevard. Free parking will be available in Lot C off of Lawton Avenue.
The forum’s agenda includes time for public input, an update on a speedway sound study and its recommendations, and a discussion of next steps and timelines.
Supervisor Duran represents the 1st District, which covers most of the city of Roseville and a stretch of unincorporated land west of Roseville.
The speedway is located at the fairgrounds. Racing has been an ongoing entertainment venue at the fairgrounds since its introduction in 1955, with track modifications made in 2007. The county has received noise complaints from residents in surrounding neighborhoods.
The Placer County Fair Association, the manager of the fairgrounds, contracted for the sound study that will be discussed at the community forum.
