Volunteers needed to help the Galena Creek Visitor Center turn back time

The Galena Creek Visitors Center is looking for volunteers to help give visitors a taste of life circa the 1860s during Living History Day at Galena Creek Regional Park.

The living history event is planned for Sunday, August 14, with various stations and activities set up throughout Galena Creek Regional Park.

Volunteers will help show visitors about life in the old West by manning the various crafts and activity tables. Examples include hat making, butter turning, demonstrating the ways clothes were washed in the “old days,” pioneer and fishing games, and a saloon where apple juice and soda are served at the bar.

For information, call Stefanie Givens or Sarah Schaefer at (775) 849-4948
