CARSON CITY, NV – The fifth Merriner Cottages fundraiser was held at Adele’s Restaurant and Lounge in Carson City on July 18. The sold out event featured a five course, gourmet meal provided to over 80 attendees. By the end of the night, approximately $30,000 was raised in support of the Merriner Cottages. Adele’s owners, Charlie and Karen Abowd, received special recognition for hosting the event and for their efforts in supporting cancer patients in Northern Nevada.

About the Merriner Cottages:
The Merriner Cottages were constructed thanks to a generous donation from Ruth Merriner and the Merriner Family Trust. Located adjacent to the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center and Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center, the cottages provide free housing during cancer treatment. Since construction in 2005, the cottages have provided over 6,000 restful nights to over 600 patients in need.
