Kings Beach, CA…The CHP release is in on yesterday’s vehicle vs bicycle accident in Kings Beach. This originally came in yesterday as a vehicle vs pedestrian.

About 11:30am yesterday when a 42 year old female from Kings Beach was stopped in the slow lane waiting for pedestrians to cross in the crosswalk near Bear Street.

After the pedestrians had crossed traffic began moving again. A 13 year old boy from Kings Beach attempted to cross SR-28 on his bicycle in the crosswalk. He rode his bicycle directly in front of the 2003 Chevrolet being driven by the 42 year old.

The Juvenile was medi-flighted to Renown with major head and chest injuries.
