Kids play free on Family Golf Day

Young golfers 17 and under play nine holes free when accompanied by an adult during Family Golf Day on Sunday, July 24 at Washoe Golf Course.

Washoe Golf offers Family Golf Days specials every month during the summer as an easy and affordable way to introduce young people to the great game of golf. Course professionals are available on the putting green and driving range to provide tips. Clubs are available for use by newcomers to the game.

The course also offers a number of special events throughout the summer as part of the PGA’s Play Golf America initiative.

When: 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2011

Check out Washoe Golf’s new Family Executive Course, a beginner-friendly short course that has been incorporated into the existing front nine at Washoe Golf Course. Golfers tee off from specially marked yardages along each fairway and use a special scorecard. The Executive Family Course is available from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. daily. Green fees are only $6. Carts are an additional $6, however, carts are not required to play the Executive Family Course.
