Detectives of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the death of a woman who fell from a 14th floor balcony at the Horizon Casino in Stateline, NV.

The body of the woman, later identified as 68 year-old Loretta Sangara of Placerville, Ca, was discovered by Horizon Casino Security Officers at approximately 10:00 am on Friday, July 1st, 2011.

It is unknown at this time if the fall was intentional or accidental.

The investigation is active and on-going. We cannot release any additional details at this time.
