Music is Back – Plan on Spending Fridays nights in Kings Beach!

Kings Beach, CA…The lineup is just about set for the 2011 Kings Beach Music on the Beach concert series! The free music series kicks off July 1 and runs every Friday, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., through Aug.19 at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area, behind the playground. Kings Beach Music on the Beach has become a community favorite on the North Shore and the crowds and bands keep getting bigger and better. This year the lineup includes:

The Blues Monsters – July 1, presented by Rockwood Tree Service and Hooked Up Sport Fishing. The Blues Monsters have been taking center stage for over 10 years, and are opening the KB Music series for the third year! A red-hot rockin’ blues band from the North Lake Tahoe and Reno area.

Groove Session – July 8, presented by Truckee Hometown Sears Store. Returning from last year, the band featuring Manny & Ronnie Sanchez and Sarven Manguiat are professional, hard working and easy going. Performing their original songs as well as putting their own twist on many classic treasures. The music is what the fellas call groovin, movin music!

Pyle of Zen – July 15, presented by La Mexicana. You may have seen local band Pyle of Zen playing around the Tahoe area the last few years. Regulars at Jason’s Beachside Grill, this band is sure to get everyone from 12 to 80 out of their seats and dancing to their Country/Rock Americana beats.

Nevada Arcana – July 22, presented by Tahoe Biltmore, Nevada Arcana Is Reno/Lake Tahoe’s Premier Progressive Rock Band, fusing rock, jazz fusion, funk, experimental and classical elements. The music reflects the unique spirit of the Reno/Lake Tahoe landscape with songs that focus on everything from urban sprawl, traffic jams, the desert, ghost towns, casinos and pop culture, and the many moods of the people who live here.

Tracorum – July 29, presented by Eco Print & Imaging. Independent Music award nominee Tracorum is an original Rock n Soul/Rhythm n Blues band from San Francisco, California. Great songwriting and soul quenching live shows are at the heart of this eclectic bay area talent

Headphone Union (formerly subjektochange) – August 5, presented by North Tahoe Public Utility District. Tahoe local band STC is a progressive electro/funk quartet known for their powerful high energy performances, their tight songwriting and excellent musicianship. Drawing from such influences as Galactic, New Mastersounds, and Benevento Russo Duo, they fuse old school funk flavor with new-school electronica, and blissed-out jams.

TinMan – August 12, presented by Taneva Auto Parts TinMan, a 5-piece professional band from San Jose, California, takes pride in presenting the greatest rock classics of all time as they should be — with attitude, style, a strong dance-oriented groove, great musicianship, and a real stage show!
