Sheriff’s Substation Opens with the Help of Volunteer Staff

El Dorado, CA…..Sheriff D’Agostini is proud to announce the staffing of the El Dorado Hills Town Center Substation, located at 4354 Town Center Blvd. Suite #112, next to the Mechanic Bank. On June 9, 2011 at 9:00 am, The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office will host a grand opening celebration of the substation and its new volunteer staff.

Sheriff D’Agostini has tasked his Sheriff’s Team of Active Retirees (STAR) program to staff the substation and provide personal contact to the El Dorado Hills community. The STAR team is comprised of retired community residents who volunteer their time to the Sheriff’s Office. With the help of these volunteers, Sheriff D’Agostini is able to increase service to the public without incurring additional costs to the residents of El Dorado County. In these financial strapped times when most agencies have to cut services and close offices, Sheriff D’Agostini is pushing forward in an attempt to provide more service at less cost. The substation will provide area residents with information relating to crime reporting, crime prevention and various other processes. These services will be available Monday – Friday, between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm. The substation will be closed on weekends and major holidays. Sheriff D’Agostini has made it a priority of his Office to expand outreach to the community and increase public safety awareness.
