Reno, NV: Mt. Rose hired new Food & Beverage Director Judy Snight in June 2011. Snight is originally from Palos Verdes, California but like many Tahoe locals, she came to South Lake Tahoe for one season and stayed for 27 years. Snight started out in the food and beverage industry working as a waitress in 1984 at Harveys Inn (now Lakeside Inn), but continued on to get an Associates degree in Business from Lake Tahoe Community College in 1995. After that she worked as a Banquet Captain at Caesars Tahoe and then became a Food & Beverage Supervisor at Harveys in 2001. Snight has worked for various South Shore casinos and Heavenly Ski Resort as an F&B Manager since.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, working with sustainable living groups, and gourmet cooking. Snight says, “I’m really excited to be with Mt. Rose and I look forward to helping Mt. Rose grow their wedding and summer business. I’m happy to become a part of the Mt. Rose family.”
