Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. West wind between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tuesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms after 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 57. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

…RAIN CONTINUES ACROSS WESTERN NEVADA WITH SNOW IN THE SIERRA…

LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE THROUGH THE SIERRA AND WESTERN NEVADA
TODAY. THIS LOW IS PRODUCING A BAND OF PRECIPITATION OVER THE
RENO…CARSON CITY AND LAKE TAHOE AREAS.

IN THE SIERRA…SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE SLUSHY AND SNOW
COVERED ROADS ABOVE 7000 FEET. ACCUMULATIONS UP TO 2 INCHES ARE
POSSIBLE WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS ABOVE 7000 FEET.

ACROSS WESTERN NEVADA…AREAS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH THIS MORNING WITH AN ADDITIONAL 0.50 INCHES OF
RAIN POSSIBLE. THIS WILL CAUSE PONDING OF WATER ON AREA ROADS.
TRAVELERS ARE URGED TO SLOW DOWN IN AREAS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY
RAIN TO REDUCE THE RISK OF HYDROPLANING.

FLOWS ON SEVERAL CREEKS IN THE TAHOE BASIN AND FAR WESTERN NEVADA
HAVE INCREASED RAPIDLY OVERNIGHT. MINOR FLOODING IN POORLY
DRAINED URBAN AREAS AND NEAR CREEKS AND STREAMS IS POSSIBLE
THROUGH THIS MORNING.
