TRUCKEE, CA – Tahoe Donner is proud to announce The Robert Cray Band will perform an outdoor concert Saturday, August 13, at 7 p.m., on the driving range next to the Trout Creek Recreation Center. The Tahoe Donner show is a stop on the band’s 2011 North American and European tour, and is sponsored by KTHX “The X.”
Grammy-award winning Cray is considered to be one of the most impressive vocalists and guitarists on the contemporary rhythm and blues scene. He is noted for drawing R&B, pop, rock and jazz with equal insight and authority, and for being a dominant force in the music world for decades.
“Robert Cray is a legend and we are very excited to be able to bring such a big name act to Tahoe Donner for our summer concert,” said general manager, Robb Etnyre. “Residents asked for rock and blues, so we are bringing it to them.”
Cray was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame this year and has ties to iconic favorites like John Lee Hooker, Jimi Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, Jethro Tull and Eric Clapton.
