Lake Tahoe CA/NV…The National Service Office in Reno has issued a wind advisory for Lake Tahoe starting this afternoon. The NWS release is below

…WINDS INCREASING THIS AFTERNOON…

.LOW PRESSURE OFF THE COAST OF OREGON WILL APPROACH THE AREA
TODAY. AHEAD OF THE LOW…GUSTY SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WILL DEVELOP
ACROSS EASTERN CALIFORNIA AND WESTERN NEVADA. THE STRONGEST WINDS
WILL REMAIN MAINLY SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 50. THERE WILL BE LOCALIZED
AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ACROSS WESTERN NEVADA BY LATE THIS
AFTERNOON. GUSTY WINDS ARE ALSO LIKELY ON AREA LAKES NORTH OF
HIGHWAY 50. THESE WINDS WILL DIMINISH TUESDAY EVENING…BUT GUSTY
WINDS ARE EXPECTED AGAIN WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

THE LAKE WIND ADVISORY IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT THIS
EVENING.

* WINDS: SOUTHWEST WINDS 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH.

* WAVE HEIGHTS FOR LAKE TAHOE: 2 TO 4 FEET WITH THE HIGHEST WAVES
ALONG THE NORTH AND EAST SHORES FROM KINGS BEACH TO ZEPHYR COVE.

* SMALL BOATS WILL BE PRONE TO CAPSIZING AND SHOULD REMAIN OFF
LAKE WATERS UNTIL CONDITIONS IMPROVE.
