Blue Canyon, CA…Crews are just finishing up a truck fire on I-80 near Blue Canyon. Just before 10:30pm this evening crews responded to a truck fire where the truck was fully involved. It was towing a trailer filled with horses. Fire crews had to remove the horses from the trailer and work the fire as well.

Some personnel on scene suffered smoke inhalation due to the wind and heavy smoke.

After the fire was out the trailer ended up being in decent enough shape to reload the horses and they are towing it to Nyack.

This incident looked like a difficult and stressful call for all involved. Great job everyone!!
