Lake Tahoe, CA/NV…We stopped by Diamond Peak today to see how the spring skiing was progressing. Everyone we spoke with said the conditions were great. The overnight temps below freezing are keeping the snow in great shape. Most of the resorts have extended their seasons and this year you will be able to ski locally all the way to memorial day.

There is plenty of snow so as long as they can get crowds resorts will keep the wheels turning. Squaw Valley has even mentioned reopening on the July 4th weekend.

There are even a few races left on the schedule. Mammoth Mountain will be hosting a speed week filled with Downhill and Super G at the end of this month.

Spring is traditionally a great time to learn to ski and work on those skills with some lessons. So if you want to learn a great lifelong sport now is the time.
