Assembly District 4 Special General Election to be held on May 3, 2011

EL DORADO COUNTY – The Special General Election for State Assembly, 4th District will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Polls will open at 7am and close at 8pm.
The last day to register to vote in this election is April 18, 2011.

Sample ballots and Vote by Mail ballots will commence to be mailed to voters during the week of April 4, 2011.

Office hours for the Elections Department at 2850 Fairlane Court, Placerville, Ca. are 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday except for holidays. This office location is also the central vote counting facility for this election. A drive-up Ballot Box is available for your convenience outside the Elections office in the parking lot in Placerville located at 2850 Fairlane Court, Placerville, also referred to as Building “C”. No postage required in this special box.

The South Lake Tahoe County Recorder-Clerk and Election night Office located at 3368 Lake Tahoe Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe is open from 8am to 12 noon, and 1pm to 5pm Monday through Friday except holidays, and on election night will be open until 8 p.m. Ballots from the SLT area are anticipated to be received in Placerville approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours after the 8p.m. polling place closing hour.

Election results will be posted as they become available on the Elections Website at http://elections.co.el-dorado.ca.us/results.fwx.

The drawing of precincts for the 1% manual count will be done on Wednesday May 4, 2011 at this office and the actual canvass and hand count will begin on or after this date.
