Explore Tahoe An Urban Trailhead presents, “America’s Wild Spaces: The Pacific Crest Trail”

South Lake Tahoe, CA…March 31st at 6pm the City of South Lake Tahoe partners with the Pacific Crest Trail and Tahoe Rim Trail for film screening of National Geographic Channel film that chronicles the peaks and valleys of the epic 2650 mile long Pacific Crest Trail. This trail stretches from Mexico to Canada, cutting through seven national parks and 24 national forests. Each year over 300 backpackers attempt to complete the entirety of this gueling route, hiking through the states of California, Oregon and Washington and experiencing elevations changes equal to that of ten Mt Everest. Locally, the PCT and TRT run concurrently for approximately 50 miles along the west shore of Lake Tahoe. Come enjoy the film and learn more about how you can use and preserve both trails!
