South Lake Tahoe, CA…Caltrans has finished up avalanche control and reduced the glut of disabled vehicles stuck in the snow. They have made enough progress to reopen Hwy 50. Chains are required from just above Placerville to Meyers. Hwy 88 & Interstate 80 are still closed..
