The investigation led Detectives to the driver’s location in Incline Village. The driver was identified as Luke Craig. Detectives interviewed and subsequently placed Luke Craig under arrest for Attempted Murder, Battery with a Deadly Weapon, and Hit and Run Causing Injury – all felony charges. Luke Craig was transported to the Washoe County Detention Facility, where he was booked without incident. Luke Craig’s bail is set at $88,000.

On March 18, 2011 at approximately 2:22 am the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and Placer County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Rookies Bar (930 Tahoe Blvd) on a report of a fight involving approximately 20 suspects throwing glass bottles. Upon arrival it was discovered that a Hispanic female had been struck by a Black Jeep Wrangler as it was fleeing the scene. The Jeep Wrangler was located a short distance away but the suspect is still outstanding.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Detectives from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office are currently interviewing witnesses and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect involved in the collision.
