Minden, NV On Friday, March 4th, 2011, Investigators with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Street Enforcement Team (DCSET) arrested 38 year-old DAWN OXLEY and her 15 year-old daughter (name withheld due to age) for Sales of a Controlled Substance – Prescription Medication.

DCSET investigators arrested OXLEY and her daughter after a several weeks-long investigation into their illicit drug sales activity. During the investigation, DCSET investigators conducted three separate controlled purchases of prescription medications from the subjects, totaling over 70 pills and tablets of types that are often sought for illicit use by narcotics abusers.

OXLEY was booked into the DCSO Minden Jail on an arrest warrant for charges of: Sales of a Controlled Substance, Furnishing a Dangerous Drug without a Prescription, Allowing a Child to be present during Commission of a Controlled Substance Violation, Use of a Minor as an agent in Furnishing a Dangerous Drug without a Prescription, and Child Abuse/Neglect.

OXLEY’s bail has been set at $50,000.00

OXLEY’s daughter was arrested for three counts of Sales of a Prescription Drug. She was subsequently released to the custody of the Douglas County Juvenile Probation Office.
