The Sheriff’s Office received a call of a subject with a gun on the campus of the Folsom Lake College, El Dorado Center on Green Valley Road. The suspect has been taken into custody by Los Rios Police officers who were on campus at the time. Information was gained that the suspect possibly placed explosive devices on the campus.

College students were evacuated and the campus locked down. All students and faculty are safe. Sheriff Deputies, Los Rios Police Officers and School Staff are checking the campus for potential explosive devices.

Indian Creek Elementary and Office of Education campuses went into lock down at the beginning of the incident.

2:50 P.M.

The students at Indian Creek Elementary and Office of Education students can be picked up by their parents at this time. The lock down at these campuses have been lifted. Parents need to respond to the school and pick up their children.
