WARNING…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO 4 PM PST
TUESDAY. THE WIND ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* TIMING: WINDS WILL INCREASE EARLY THIS MORNING LASTING THROUGH
TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

* WINDS: SOUTHWEST 25 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 65 MPH. RIDGE
GUSTS UP TO 120 MPH.

* LAKE CONDITIONS: STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE DANGEROUS BOATING
CONDITIONS ON LAKE TAHOE WITH WAVES 3 TO 5 FEET.

* IMPACTS: STRONG AND POTENTIALLY DAMAGING WINDS WILL PRODUCE
DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. LOOSE
OUTDOOR ITEMS SHOULD BE BROUGHT INSIDE OR SECURED BEFORE THE
EVENT BEGINS EARLY THIS MORNING.

DAMAGE TO TREES…POWER LINES AND PROPERTY IS LIKELY WITH WINDS

WIND SPEEDS HAVE ALREADY STARTED TO INCREASE ALONG THE SIERRA
CREST THIS MORNING. WINDS WILL INCREASE ACROSS THE REST OF THE

AFTERNOON…INCREASING IN INTENSITY AND SPREADING INTO THE
REST OF THE TAHOE BASIN TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

* POSSIBLE SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 1 TO 2 FEET AT LAKE LEVEL WITH 2 TO
3 FEET ABOVE 7000 FEET. LOCALLY UP TO 4 FEET NEAR THE SIERRA
CREST.

* WINDS: SOUTHWEST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH ON
TUESDAY BECOMING WEST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH
WEDNESDAY. RIDGE GUSTS UP TO 110 MPH.

* IMPACTS: PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOW MAY CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES AND
DELAYS ALONG ALL ROADS AND PASSES IN THE TAHOE AREA TUESDAY
AFTERNOON INTO WEDNESDAY. THE SNOW COMBINED WITH THE WINDS MAY
ALSO REDUCE VISIBILITY TO NEAR ZERO AT TIMES.

* IN ADDITION…GUSTY WINDS WILL PRODUCE DANGEROUS BOATING
CONDITIONS ON LAKE TAHOE.
