On February 10, 2011, at approximately 3:38pm, the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding an adult male vandalizing property and making threats to homeowners on Norlene Way, Grass Valley. Deputies responded and contacted Cody Robert Feiler, age 30,
of Grass Valley. Mr. Feiler was detained by deputies due to bizarre behavior and unusual statements.

Later the same day, another call came in reporting a subject passed out at the Alta Sierra Airport runway with serious injuries. Deputies responded and located a severely injured and unconscious 75 year-old male, from Grass Valley. The male was transported to Sutter-
Roseville Hospital by air ambulance where he underwent emergency surgery for serious life threatening injuries.

Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit responded to investigate and determined Mr. Feiler was a suspect in the attempted murder of the 75 year-old man.

Mr. Feiler was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on charges of Attempted Murder.

The investigation is continuing.
