When School’s Out, Teens Get Schooled at Squaw Sessions Ski & Snowboard Camp (ages 13-18)

Specifically designed for ski and snowboard crazed 13 to 18 year-olds, Squaw Sessions provides the new school breed with the opportunity to experience Squaw Valley’s rich freeride culture firsthand. Teens meet their coaches (4-year veteran head coaches Kris Thomas and Rylan Cordova) in the morning and are placed in groups based on ability. As a group, the teens decide what they want to work on that day. Whether they fantasize about conquering steep “big mountain” lines, like Ingrid Backstrom or Jeremy Jones, or jibbing and jumping in one of Squaw Valley’s three terrain parks, like Michelle Parker or Travis Kennedy, Squaw Sessions is the young shredder’s dream camp. Squaw Sessions takes place during school holiday periods and is offered in full day sessions; teens are not bound to a week-long program so they can participate in Squaw Sessions one day and spend the next day on the hill with mom and dad, showing them a thing or two.

Squaw Sessions will meet at the main Snowsports Office located next to the main ticket office, across from the Funitel. Teens will meet at 9:45am.
