Tahoe City, CA…On 07/26/2022, at approximately 0623 hours, a male resident from Tahoe City, CA was driving a black 2018 Honda westbound on SR-28, west of Grove St., and directly behind a white utility bed golf cart belonging to Tahoe City Downtown Association. The white golf cart was being driven by a male in his 50’s from Kings Beach, CA. As the driver of the black Honda approached the white golf cart at an undetermined speed, he failed to realize that the white golf cart was in the lane directly ahead of him. The driver of the black Honda and was unable to slow down and stop to avoid a traffic collision with the white golf cart.

The front of the black Honda collided with the rear of the white golf cart. As a result of the traffic collision, the driver of the white golf cart was ejected and sustained fatal injuries. Drugs or alcohol currently do not to appear to be a factor in the collision.
