Markleeville, CA…Caltrans will close State Route 89/Monitor Pass on Monday, April 11, ahead of a snowstorm forecast to hit the Sierra Nevada early next week. Maintenance crews will close access to the highway starting at 8:00 a.m. and will assess it for reopening once the storm has passed.
Several more mountain highways remain in a winter closure as crews continue to remove snow and debris from the roads. There is currently no ETO for when the following routes will reopen:
• State Route 108/Sonora Pass
• State Route 4/Ebbetts Pass
