South Lake Tahoe, CA…Today, at approximately 11 a.m., a power company work truck caught fire while traveling along SR-89, just north of SR-88 (Pickett’s Jct). The road was shut down for approximately 1 hour with one-way traffic control once the fire was extinguished. This is a good reminder to check your vehicle maintenance.
BTW, this driver did not pull to the shoulder in fear of creating a forest fire…..even with snow on the ground. Good idea.
