El Dorado Hills, CA – House Republican Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy along with the entire California House Republican Delegation (Rep. Ken Calvert, Rep. Doug LaMalfa, Rep. Jay Obernolte, Rep. David Valadao, Rep. Mike Garcia, Rep. Kim Young, Rep. Michelle Steel, and Rep. Darrell Issa) endorsed Rep. Tom McClintock for the 5th Congressional District.
House Republican Leader Rep. McCarthy said, “Tom has my support and endorsement. He is a leader in the House when it comes to streamlining forest management in our National Forests, guaranteeing water deliveries to our farms in the Central Valley, and combatting the tidal wave of illegal immigration on our southern border.”
Rep. Calvert, Dean of the California House Republican Delegation, said “We are proud to stand with our friend Tom McClintock. He is a tireless warrior for our shared commitment to Constitutional principles.”
The newly drawn 5th Congressional District encompasses El Dorado, Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne, Mariposa, Stanislaus, Madera, and Fresno counties. Rep. McClintock has represented all the counties except Stanislaus County in the current 4th Congressional District.
