On January 14, 2011, The County of ElDorado Sheriff’s Office was contacted regarding a possible embezzlement of funds from the Disabled American Veteran Organization in Cameron Park. According to the victim, it was brought to his attention that the treasurer, Robert Laudermilk had been writing checks to himself from the bank account of the Disabled American Organization over the last several months.

During the investigation it was determined that the suspect had also embezzled funds from the Veterans In-House Committee. Based on the investigation, it is suspected that Laudermilk embezzled approximately $7000 dollars from both of the victims. Deputies located Laudermilk at his residence in El Dorado and arrested him for 503 PC – Embezzlement. He was booked into county jail and bail was set at $10,000.
