Elk Grove, CA…Loretta Joy McClintock, known to all as Lori, died unexpectedly at home on December 15, 2021 at the age of 61. She was born on Mother’s Day, May 8, 1960 in Grand Haven, Michigan to Rev. TJ Davis and Marilyn Huizenga. Lori grew up in Spring Lake, Traverse City and Webberville, Michigan. She toured with the Continental Singers for three years and moved with her family to Thousand Oaks in 1977, where she attended Moorpark College and earned her real estate license. On November 7, 1987, she married Tom McClintock and during their 34 years of marriage raised two children, Shannah Colleen and Justin Thomas in Thousand Oaks, Rocklin and Elk Grove, California.
For 17 of those years, she worked at the First Baptist Church of Elk Grove. In 2015, she returned to the real estate field, most recently at Lyon Real Estate in Sacramento.
The daughter of a Baptist pastor, Lori was quietly and fervently dedicated to her Christian faith. She was devoted to her family and was always the light and warmth and laughter and calm of the home she created. She made possible Tom’s public service through the California legislature and Congress, but was always happiest when looking after her family.
Lori is survived by her husband, Thomas McClintock; her daughter, Shannah Dongelmans and son-in-law, Erik; her son, Justin McClintock and daughter-in-law, Caitlin; her brother, Thomas Huizenga and his wife, Tera, of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and her sister, Cher Nelson of Kyle, Texas.
