Carson City, NV…Highlighting the importance of booster shots amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak will receive his COVID-19 booster shot at 4 p.m. with UMC in Las Vegas.

On March 11, 2021, Governor Sisolak received a single dose of Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine alongside frontline grocery store workers and is currently eligible for a booster shot due to his age, per CDC guidelines. After consultation with his doctor, the Governor will get a booster shot of the Moderna vaccine.

Governor Sisolak will not be issuing any formal remarks but will be available for questions along with Dr. Shadaba Asad from UMC. Members of the media interested in attending are asked to RSVP by today at 5 p.m. at press@gov.nv.gov for the exact location details.
