South Lake Tahoe, CA…As the evacuation order has been downgraded in the City of South Lake Tahoe but other areas remain under an order, the City has been able to bring back a small staff to open the Campground by the Lake to serve as an evacuee shelter option until area orders have been lifted.
What: Campground by the Lake available ONLY for evacuees of the Caldor Fire
When: Beginning September 10 at 8am
How: Instructions to secure a campsite are provided at the Campground Gatehouse upon arrival
Cost: All Fees will be waived
The Campground is located at 1150 Rufus Allen Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150. Once evacuation orders are lifted and it is safe for residents to return to their homes this offer will expire.
