The following morning update is provided by the Air Quality Management Division of the Washoe County Health District for the Reno-Sparks area for Sunday, January 9th at 8:00 a.m.
A cold front pushed through last night ending last evening’s red burn ban to where this morning’s wood burning color code is Green and while the current air quality condition is still in the Moderate range (the high AQI of 84 occurred at 12:00 a.m.), it has been steadily falling to the current AQI of 67 and is expected to continue improving throughout the day. It is also anticipated that the wood burning color will remain Green for the remainder of the day and into the night.
However, should conditions change this message will be updated…
