South Lake Tahoe,CA…The City Council appointed the following to the following City Commissions/Boards at today’s City Council meeting; Scott Michal was appointed for a two year term on the Airport Land Use Commission.Council appointed William “Chip” Henderson and Julie Stewart to the Building/ADA Board of Appeals.

The Parks & Recreation Commission appointments were provided to Jerry Bindel, Jennifer Boyd, Pete Fink, Steven Noll and Jerry Williams. City Council will also be adding two additional members at the February meeting which includes Dave Rios and Marissa Fox. The next Parks & Recreation Commission meeting is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, February 9th at 9am at the Recreation Swim Complex located at 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd. These meeting are open to the public and all are invited to attend.

City Council appointed Judy Brown, Jessee Duyer, Jenna Palacio, Angela Swanson and Craig Woodward to the Planning Commission. The next Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 9th at 3pm in the City Council Chambers located at 1901 Airport Road. These meeting are open to the public and all are invited to attend.

City Council directed the City Clerk to re-solicit applicants for one (1) member for the Airport Land Use Commission and five (5) members for the Building/ADA Board of Appeals. Councilmembers were thankful to for all of the applications received for the various commissions and stated that there were a large number of applicants and all were very well qualified.
