Renowned Artists To Attend World Music Award Night In Reno

Reno, NV…TACH (Traditional Association for Cultural Harmony) a non profit organization founded by Internationally renowned musician Thakur Chakrapani Singh going to present “World Music Award Night” on Dec 10th, 2016 @ 5.30PM. In this event TACH is going to present it’s 4th annual award “Award of Excellence” to an artist who are having the extra ability in the field of music. TACH is going to add a new award from this year”SRIJAN Music Excellence Award” to an artist who devoted in music field as well as creating and innovating in music.

The nominee of the “Award of Excellence” is a marvelous multi -instrumental solo artist. He began studying Western Flute, East Indian Bansuri Bamboo Flute (with Steve Gorn), and Tablas (Indian hand drums) with Ray Spiegel. At the time that he relocated to Western Montana,Todd decided to stop playing the electric guitar and concentrate on acoustic music. After spending 10 years there his next move was to Northern Nevada near Lake Tahoe where he has lived since 2001.

The nominee of the “SRIJAN Music Excellence Award” is Laura Jackson – Conductor / Director of Reno Philharmonic Orchestra who continues to win praise for her artistry, leadership, innovative programming, and creative community engagement.Ms. Jackson guest conducts nationally and internationally. In May 2013 she became the first-ever American to lead the Algerian National Orchestra; other recent engagements include L’Orchestre de Bretagne in France and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition, she recorded Michael Daugherty’s Time Cycle on Naxos with the Bournemouth Symphony in partnership with Marin Alsop. She also served as the Assistant Conductor/American Conducting Fellow with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra under Robert Spano.

Dallas Smith & Susan Mazer (first recipient of Award of Excellence from TACH) – more than two musicians, their combined sound is symphonic and rich in musical expression and sonority. Dallas is a pioneer in the performance and development of the electronic wind synthesizer, having naturally expanded his interest to the newer technologies that allowed him to move around all musical genres with unprecedented creativity and expertise. As a classical harpist, Susan performed with the Detroit Symphony, the English Royal Ballet, and under the batons of Sexton Ehling, Paul Paray, Robert Shaw, and other great conductors. In an effort to set a new standard for excellence and artistry as a harpist in the contemporary instrumental jazz and pop music genres, she ventured into technological realm of amplification.

Todd Green began studying guitar at the age of ten. He has been writing and performing his own music professionally since the age of fifteen. He studied composition and arrangement at Berklee College of Music, in Boston, Mass. At the same time he was studying privately with Mick Goodrich, jazz guitar legend at New England Conservatory of Music, Pat Metheny, Grammy Award winning guitarist and George Benson, international recording star. After spending five years in Boston, he moved to New York City where he performed with the top echelon of studio musicians and toured with bands throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.

TACH (Traditional Association for Cultural Harmony) work for Global Artist Management, Yoga, Meditation, Pranayam, Cultural Exchange Program, Music Education, Fusion Music Collaboration & Development, Seminar, Organize Music Competitions and open to promote for all aspects of Music & it’s related Cultural Promotions. It promotes all aspect of music of Indian & Western.

It is working to establish a Music, Meditation, Pranayam & Yoga Center, where people can learn healing music which is going to be very helpful in health wise as well as to get relief from tension & problems. It’s going to give the community peace of mind through Music, Meditation, Pranayam & Yoga.
TACH is having a 501c3 and expecting donor to fulfill it’s dream by establishing a music and meditation center on the basis of TRADITIONAL cult – “GURU-SHISYA” parampara (Teacher and Disciple tradition). This center will give the facility of lodging-boarding and learning to the students.
