South Lake Tahoe, CA/NV…The Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce (Tahoe Chamber) is launching GO Local & Win! on Saturday, November 26. For residents, this campaign promotes and rewards the value of shopping and dining locally, with a chance to win gift certificates and a shot at three grand prizes. For business owners and operators, it provides an opportunity to promote and expand their base of customers or clientele.

“When local businesses do well, the overall community benefits,” said Emily Abernathy, Tahoe Chamber Events Director. “Increased local business revenue means more local jobs and additional money cycled back into our economy.” Abernathy said the launch of the program was being timed to start with Small Business Saturday, November 26, the Saturday following Thanksgiving Day.

“We’re excited by the response of our members to GO Local & Win!,” added Justin Sinner, Tahoe Chamber Membership Services Director. “We want to generate a fresh spirit of fun and hospitality for the holiday season.”

Joining GO local & Win! is easy. Simply pick up a GO Local & Win! passport at participating businesses, then shop or eat at any GO Local & Win! business through January 1, 2017. Contestants will receive a sticker on their passport for every $25 spent. Once the passport is completed, it can be dropped in the mail addressed to Tahoe Chamber. Contestants can submit as many passports as they like for more chances to win.

How to GO Local & Win:

1. Pick up a GO Local & Win! passport at participating businesses listed on the GO Local & Win! page at TahoeChamber.org

2. Shop or visit any participating business until January 1, 2017

3. Receive a GO Local & Win! passport sticker for every $25 spent

4. Turn completed passport into the Tahoe Chamber by January 1, 2017, to be eligible to win prizes

• For every 8 stickers collected contestants are eligible to win $125

• For every 10 stickers collected contestants are eligible to win $250

• For every 12 stickers collected contestants are eligible to win $500

5. For every passport submitted contestants get one-step closer to winning awesome prizes! There are no restrictions on the number of GO Local & Win! passports each contestant may submit.
