Police & U.S. Marshals Continue Hunt For Man Who Shot Pregnant Woman

San Francisco, CA…The U.S. Marshals in the Northern District of California and the Pacifica Police Department have increased the reward and are renewing efforts to locate and arrest Ricardo Colindres, 26, who is wanted in San Mateo County on two counts of attempted murder and attempted kidnapping after he shot a pregnant woman in Pacifica, California, on April 27, 2016. The incident occurred at the Casa Pacifica Apartments, when Colindres allegedly tried to abduct his ex-girlfriend before shooting her in the head. The victim was 8 months pregnant at the time of the incident. Colindres reportedly fled the complex and has not been seen since.

After initially issuing a reward of $2,500, the U.S. Marshals and Pacifica Police Department are now increasing the amount to $10,000 for information leading to the location, arrest, and conviction of Colindres. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the U.S. Marshals at 1-800-336-0102, or email usms.wanted@usdoj.gov.

The U.S. Marshals have also added Colindres to the Northern California Most Wanted website, which can
be accessed with the following link: http://northerncaliforniamostwanted.org. Pictures of Colindres can be seen at the website, and tips can be also submitted. All tips will be investigated, and anyone submitting a tip via phone or email has the option of remaining anonymous.

“We are continuing to investigate this case to the fullest extent possible,” said Don O’Keefe, U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of California. “We feel that Colindres still being at large is unacceptable, and we encourage the public to assist us in locating and safely apprehending him. The victim in the case deserves justice and closure, which she is being denied every day he remains on the streets. For her sake, and the sake of public safety, we implore those with any knowledge of him or his possible whereabouts to contact law enforcement immediately.”

Colindres is described as a Hispanic man about 5-foot-5 inches, weighing approximately 125 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He is considered armed and extremely dangerous. The firearm used in the incident has not yet been recovered. Colindres is a known transient who frequents the Brisbane area. He has family ties to Brisbane, as well as the Lodi and Burson, CA, areas. He is also known to frequent the Las Vegas area.
