Minden, Nevada –On October 10, 2015, 15 year old John Luna ran away from the China Spring Youth Camp. During the subsequent investigation the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office determined John Luna may be a danger to himself and others. Luna has made threats he intends to go to a school to commit a school shooting. At this time the Sheriff’s Office is unable to determine which specific school.

This report is not intended to instill fear but to make the public aware of this threat. The Sheriff’s Office and Douglas County School District are working very closely together to ensure the safety of the school facilities and students and have taken appropriate security precautions.

Luna is described as 5’07” tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds, fair complexion and a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a red plaid shirt, khaki pants and a beanie with flames.
Anyone seeing someone matching John Luna’s description is asked to call 911immediately.
