South Lake Tahoe, CA – The South Lake Tahoe Police Department Dispatch Center fielded nearly 300 calls for service from 5:00 am on July 4^th to 5:00 am on July 5^th.  This consisted of 40 fire and medical related calls for service and the rest were police related calls.  There were 18 arrests; 7 arrests for public intoxication, 3 arrests for driving under the influence, 2 drug related arrests, and 6 miscellaneous arrests.
