SACRAMENTO, Calif., – On Friday, June 6, the American Red Cross Capital Region, in partnership with KCRA/KQCA and the Roseville Automall, will collect care package goods and supplies to be shipped to military troops as part of Operation Care Package.
“Operation Care Package is a chance to give back to our troops and express gratitude for their service,” said Kathleen Weis, CEO of the Red Cross Capital Region. “Sending simple things like snacks, basic toiletry items, and even socks to our troops overseas offers critical support and a small touch of home, letting them know they are in our thoughts.”
Those wishing to take part are asked to purchase items such as non-perishable snack foods, basic hygiene items, and even patriotic decorative items (please see full list of needed items here) and deliver them to the Roseville Automall throughout the day on Friday, June 6.
The Roseville Automall is located at 300 Automall Dr, Roseville, CA 95661. On June 6, volunteers will be on hand to collect items from 5:00am – 7:00pm.
Collected items will then be packaged and shipped to military troops stationed overseas in time for Independence Day.
