Snow Storm Cancels South Lake Tahoe DMV Office Renovation

South Lake Tahoe, CA… The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is alerting local customers that the South Lake Tahoe field office located at 3344 South Lake Tahoe Blvd, #B was scheduled to close for renovations on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, but is canceling the closure because of weather conditions.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 11 p.m. Tuesday night until 5 a.m. Thursday. The snow is expected to begin tonight and the heaviest is expected during the day tomorrow. The Lake Tahoe area is expected to get three to eight inches of snow which will create hazardous driving conditions on all Sierra passes. The DMV will reschedule the renovation closure for a future date.

The DMV wants to remind customers that there are over 20 online services available on www.dmv.ca.gov. A few of those options are to renew your registration and driver license, complete your change of address, request your own driver record, and make an appointment.
