Sheriff’s Deputies Apprehend Three Rite of Passage Runaways in Incline

Incline Village, NV…At 7:25 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office was notified that three juveniles from the Rite of Passage Adolescent Treatment Center and School in Yerington had run away from a basketball game being held at Incline High School in Incline Village. The Sheriff’s Office was informed that all three had been adjudicated to Rite of Passage from a court in California.

Deputies from Washoe County and Placer County responded along with Washoe County School District Police and immediately began searching the area.

At approximately 9:00 p.m., Deputies sighted the juveniles running into the woods near SR 28 and Gonowabie Road. After a short foot pursuit, all three were taken back into custody.
