The Senate District 1 Special General Election will be held on Tuesday January 4, 2011. Mail Ballots have been mailed, please consider returning them as soon as possible either by mailing, or dropping off at the Drive-Up Ballot Box in front of Building C at 2850 Fair Lane Court, just follow the signs, no postage needed and it’s truly a drive up for your convenience. Also, since this is the Christmas and New Year Holiday season, you might consider mailing your Ballot by December 29, 2010, as mail delivery could be delayed due to heavy volumes of mail. South Lake Tahoe voters may drop off their mail ballots at the Recorder-Clerk Office at 3368 Lake Tahoe Blvd., Suite 108, South Lake Tahoe, Ca.
The last day to request a Mail Ballot for this election is December 28, 2010. Remember that if you vote at a polling place, I have combined some polling places together, so make sure you know the address of your polling place. The Official Canvass of the election results will commence no later than January 5, 2011 at the Election Office at 2850 Fair Lane Court, Placerville, Ca., at 9 a.m. This location is also the Official Tally Center for the election.
