Stateline, NV…A December lineup of top-notch comedy, adventure films, cash giveaways and enough Lake Tahoe infused holiday cheer to fill a stocking await at MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa.
For the fifth year, MontBleu hosts the Festival of Trees and Lights, a five-day, family-oriented celebration where Christmas trees, lights and decorations are creatively set against a brilliantly bright backdrop, transforming the Showroom into a virtual winter wonderland.
The festival runs until Sunday, Dec. 8. Performances of the play “Best Christmas Pageant Ever” will be Friday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Public viewing admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 2-12 and seniors 55 and over. Tickets are available at the door. (530) 543-5909 or go to www.festivaloftreeslaketahoe.com.
MontBleu will supply plenty of laughter to go along with all the cheer when NFL funnyman Terry Bradshaw brings his touchdown comedy stylings to the Showroom Friday, Dec. 13.
“Terry Bradshaw America’s Favorite Dumb Blonde – A Life in Four Quarters” is the equivalent of a 90-minute football huddle. That is if a football huddle included backup singers, video, dance numbers, and the quarterback telling his life story. Bradshaw’s one-man show premiered in June at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.
The charismatic athlete entertains the audience with stories of his childhood in Louisiana, his four Super Bowl rings, three marriages and countless toupees. The show begins at 9 p.m. Tickets are $35 to $45 and available through (Ticketmaster.com) or the Box Office, 888-829-7630.
The punch bowl will be spiked with plenty of one-liners and laughs in December when MontBleu brings back the hilarious antics of comedian Daniel Tosh for two performances in one-night, Dec. 21. The stand-up comedian and television host of the wildly-popular Comedy Central video clip show, Tosh.0, will make his third Lake Tahoe appearance in the Theater. Tickets for the shows are sold out.
High-flying adventure flicks and non-stop entertainment between films will arrive in Tahoe fashion Saturday, Dec. 14 with the 12th annual Tahoe Adventure Film Festival. Rooted as the nerve center for elite skiers, boarders, climbers and year-round adventurers, the film festival provides plenty of mountaintops, cliffhangers and enough high-energy entertainment between showings to ignite fervor for the New Year. The night includes guest speakers, action photo displays, break-dancers, DJs and a handful of surprises. Advance purchase is encouraged as the event annually sells out. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Reserved seating through Ticketmaster or by calling (775) 588-3515. Tickets are $20-$30.
MontBleu is the official site for SnowGlobe after parties, combining the world’s best musicians with the world’s best snow conditions, the music festival is a one-of-a-kind experience that offers the ultimate fusion: music and mountains.
