Incline Village, NV…The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District will be hosting their 18th Annual Paramedic Refresher December 4th – 6th 2013. This three-day workshop provides 27 hours of “CME’s” or Continuing Medical Education units required for recertification. It also offers all the surrounding emergency providers and agencies an opportunity to train together to improve and update current techniques and skills in the field for new and seasoned paramedics alike. Fire agencies from around the Lake Tahoe Basin, as well as, metro departments from Northern Nevada and California will be represented.

The conference format includes nationally recognized speakers lecturing on topics such as Emerging Drugs of Abuse, Evidence Based Resuscitation of the Critically Ill Poisoned Patient, Considerations in the Pre-Hospital Airway, Ophthalmological Emergencies, Public Health Emergencies, Communicable Diseases for EMS, Traumatic Brain Injury and Trauma in Pregnancy.
