We hope you are well and enjoying the return of Autumn to Tahoe City!  We have some fun events coming up this month beginning with the annual Cobblestone Oktoberfest tomorrow 10/5.   There is still time to help out if you are available. The shifts are short and you will be able to take part in the fun! To sign up contact Dana,  dana@visittahoecity.com .  Hope you will join us!
Also, the scarecrows on parade are back in town!  Be sure to vote for your favorites.  Ballots can be picked up around town at participating businesses or at the Oktoberfest. Drop off completed ballots at Geared for Games, The Store, Tahoe Dave’s or The North Tahoe Visitor Center.  Thank you to everybody that made a scarecrow for this years contest!
Next weekend we have 2 new FUN events you wont want to miss, The Tahoe City Urban Iditarod and the Tahoe City Grill Fest.  Join the fun and help these inaugraul events become a part of Tahoe City’s future.  We still need some volunteer support for the Grill fest,Here is a list of our volunteer needs for that day:10:00am-noon:   Set-up

11:00am-4:00pm (1-hour shifts):   Registration/Ticket Sales

2:30pm-4:00pm:  Judging Assistance

10:00am-5:00pm (1-2 hour shifts):  General Help

4:00pm-5:00pm:  Tear Down/Clean-up

Once again, the shifts are short and you will be able to take part in the FUN!!!

Sprint and Stroll
The 3rd Annual SnowFest! Scarecrow Sprint & Stroll takes place lakeside of beautiful Lake Tahoe! There are runs for the entire family, so come enjoy the fall colors, participate in the 2 kids’ fun runs, the 5K, or the 10K. Halloween costumes are encouraged…this is a themed event!
Also, check out the Adult/child TEAM racing this year! Get your mom, your dad, your big brother, aunt, or mentor to spend a great day of running and fun at the Lake with you!

On this evening, family-friendly ghosts from Tahoe’s past will haunt our Black Bear Forest, telling you their tales of derring-do or woe. Stroll the forest grounds and learn about local characters!
Free to the public
(ghosts anticipated to arrive shortly before 7pm)

Cobblestone Oktoberfest

Cobblestone Oktoberfest celebration host activities for the whole family beginning at 1pm. Enjoy a live rock ‘n roll dance, a selection of seasonal brews, BBQ sausages and wieners, fresh-made fruit desserts and ice cream, and fun games and crafts for kids of all ages.

Sherpas Cinema presents Into the Mind, an adventure ski film, at Homewood, on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013. The premier will be outside on the patio of Homewood’s South Lodge among fire pits and pine trees, and heaters and blankets are available. Doors open at 6pm and the screening starts at 7pm. The North Face/Black Diamond are sponsoring a raffle – with a grand prize of Black Diamond skis
