Stateline, NV…The 20th annual Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe Golf Tournament (info@bgclt.org), long considered one of the area’s top golf fundraisers, is set for Columbus Day, Monday, October 14. The event annually raises over $40,000 to support the work of the Club, which assists over 800 local kids throughout the year.
Another sell-out is expected due to the exclusive venue and overall value. Golfers receive a round of golf at Edgewood Tahoe, the area’s top course, plus a gourmet buffet breakfast, beverages throughout the day, hors d’oeuvres and drinks at the awards party, Titleist Pro V1 golf balls as tee prizes, $10,000 Hole-In-One chances and Closet-to-the Pin contests on every par 3, plus dozens of free raffle prizes. Silent auction items and drawings include a grand prize vacation package, flat screen TV, hotel stays, rounds of golf at courses throughout California and Nevada, artwork, wine and spirits, ski lift tickets and more.
Playing spots are available now through the Boys and Girls Club for just $225, a serious discount considering all that’s included. Sponsorship are available for each Hole-In-One, all 18 holes, and for Tee prizes as well as business networking opportunities. Local businesses are also invited to provide raffle prizes of products, services, meals, overnight stays, rounds of golf, stand-up paddleboard rides, or whatever highlights their particular business. Besides benefitting the Club and making a difference in the community, sponsors also receive solid exposure and recognition for their participation.
For details on sponsorship options and to reserve playing spots, visit: http://bgclt.org/event-registration/ or call the Boys & Girls Club at 530-542-0838. The Club accepts credit cards or checks, but it’s first-come, first-serve and last year there was a waiting list. The number of players is limited to keep play moving at a comfortable pace and for a memorable experience.
Players can sign-up for one of two formats, a more forgiving four-person Scramble, or Best Ball, where each player can test their individual skills over Edgewood’s challenging layout. Winners in each category receive prizes.
“What makes this event so special for the Boys & Girls Club is that Edgewood donates the course for the day,” said Jeff Tillman, the Club’s president. “We couldn’t do it without their generosity and the support of all our sponsors and volunteers.”
Hole sponsorships are available for $1,500 and include a foursome and plenty of exposure. For $900, non-playing hole sponsorships are also available if work is calling.
Hole-In-One sponsorships are available for companies looking to help a good cause and attract attention for their business. For $3,000 a sponsor receives a foursome, tee signage and pre and post-event publicity.
