Sheriff’s Office Investigates Death at Sand Harbor

Incline Village, NV… The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a death that occurred on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Sand Harbor State Park in Incline Village.

At approximately 12:15 p.m. on August 3, an unresponsive male was seen in the water off the beach at Sand Harbor. Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District responded and the male was transported to an Incline area hospital where he was declared deceased.

There does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances related to the death at this time. Cause of death will be determined by the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office as well as formal identification and next of kin notification.
