South Lake Tahoe, CA (July 16, 2013) – Around 2:00 o’clock in the morning of Wednesday, July 10th, 2013, SLTPD Officers responded to Whiskey Dick’s Saloon, at 2660 Lake Tahoe Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe to investigate a strong-armed robbery. The 25-year-old victim is a South Lake Tahoe resident who was at the bar when he became involved in a confrontation with two white male adults. The nature and reason for this confrontation is still under investigation. In order to avoid further conflict, the victim left the bar with his skateboard via a rear door. The suspects followed him however, and confronted the victim at the rear of the neighboring laundromat. The victim reported to police that the suspects battered him, punching him 10-20 times, and stole his skateboard. Both suspects were last seen fleeing eastbound through the meadow toward William Avenue. The victim had blood on his face, but refused any medical attention at the scene. The skateboard was valued at more than $200, but further details are not being released at this time due to investigative concerns.
SLTPD would like the publics help identifying the suspects in this case. The victim described the two suspects as follows:
Suspect #1- Hispanic Male Adult with a beard, approximately 5’-6” to 5’-8” tall and 30-35 years of age, heavy set build. Suspect 1 is the male wearing a backwards black baseball cap and smoking a cigarette pictured below.
