Wreckage of Missing Plane out of Minden Found

MInden, NV…Wreckage of a missing Cessna model 172 airplane that left Minden Airport last night, piloted by Keith Jorgenson, has been located on the ground in the Mineral Valley area of the Pinenut Mountain Range, approximately 14 miles southeast of Minden Airport.

 

The wreckage was found by the aircrew of the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office RAVEN helicopter.

 

Douglas County Search and Rescue members, along with DCSO investigators and a coroner, are on scene on the ground at the site.

 

The airplane is occupied by one decedent. Identification of the decedent has not yet been made.
