Genoa, NV…On October 26, 2012 at 0847am, Douglas County Dispatch received a 911 call of a structure fire at the Genoa Station Grill and Bar, which is a newer business adjacent to the Genoa Town Hall. East Fork Fire and Paramedic District along with Douglas County Sheriff’s Department and the Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the scene.

The fire broke out in the kitchen area and was contained to the kitchen and attic area, estimated damage costs at this time is approximately $75,000.00. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but arson has been ruled out.

Approximately 18 firefighters responded to battle the fire, while Douglas County Sheriff’s and Nevada Highway Patrol assisted with traffic control. The road, SR 206 which runs through the town of Genoa , was closed for approximately 2 hours.

No injuries were reported.
